2005 HVH Red Blend

Cold soaking the grapes prior to fermentation helped jump start the intense color and fruit flavors of this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Syrah. Aromas of dark chocolate and cherry pipe tobacco swirl with flavors of chocolate covered cranberries. Enjoy now through 2013. ~ 200 cases made

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon

Exemplifying our intent to showcase varietal characteristics, the results are rather delicious in this Cabernet Sauvignon with 13% Syrah blended in. This wine starts with whiffs of chocolate muffin cake, coffee, plums, watermelon and toasted oak. In the mouth are flavors of rich black cherries, black currants, oak, chocolate and tea. There's a bit of sweetness between the midpalate, and firm tannins and vanilla notes on the finish. ~125 cases made.

2004 CWM Syrah

The CWM stands for Corey Wayne McDougall, the winemaker's son, who passed away in 2003. Winemaker McDougall has created quite a tribute to his son, with the results on the nose opening with plums, mocha espresso, cedar and cooked strawberry jam. On the juicy palate are pomegranates, sugared rhubarb and dark chocolate, all combining for a smoothness that broadens from the middle to finish, thanks to the blended Cab (9%). ~200 cases made.
